3 effective ways to generate leads like a Pro

As a small business owner, I’m sure you are very concerned about generating leads and make sales.

Last week I’ve explained how a wrong landing page can impact on conversion rate and how you can fix it. This week, instead, I want to talk about how to generate leads like a pro.

Here’s some of the best tips that I’ve experimented in my first year of business. So, if like me you are new to the self-employed world, I hope you’ll fine this helpful.

Networking

I love and I found networking so beneficial and I believe every small business owner should do it.

Networking is all about creating meaningful connection with other business owners and it’s also a great way to “get out of the house” when you work from home.

How to generate leads like a pro

Check your local area and find out which one fit you most. And as most things in business, is all about trying!

Try by attending different ones and then narrow down accordingly to your needs. Not all the meetings have the same people, so you can find different every single times.

You can also ask to more experienced members if they can recommend other networking meetings.

When you’ve found the perfect fit, it’s all about getting your name out there. Give people a reason to remember you and what you offer. Explain what you do and how you can help them with a problem.

And you never know what can happen!

I found my last clients through a networking event because the person I was talking to previously worked with them.

If you are in the UK, you can find this list useful to find networking meetings near you.

Customer referrals

It’s no brainer that in business, word of mouth is the most powerful marketing tool. Nielsen conducted a research which showed that 92% of people trust recommendations from friends and family more than all other forms of marketing.

So think about your family, for example. How many time a member of your family recommend you a product or you recommend them somethings? And they have promptly switched to or try it?

Now, imagine that with your actual clients. Happy clients are most likely to buy from you again than try something/someone else. So why wasting this opportunity?

You can also create a scheme or give a reward to clients that give you positive referrals. For example, you could offer a 10% off their next invoice or a free 30 min consultation.

Also your client need the feel of having sign a great deal so be creative.

Using a lead management service

This might sound different from the others, but if you are very busy business owner and want to scale-up your business, is a great idea.

Using a lead management service, like ProNexis for example, gives you peace of mind so you can focus on what you do best within your business.

They can provide services of lead generation, lead management and lead handling services to small business owners.

ProNexis offers a professional customer service team trained to answer phone calls in a quick and reliable manner. They also respond to online inquiries, converting leads into appointments.
